Get in touchEligibility depends on a few factors, including your age, your residency, and the nature and impact of your disability. Generally you need to be under 65 when you first apply, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your everyday life. We are happy to help you understand whether it may apply to you.
You start by making an Access Request with the NDIA (call 1800 800 110). You will usually need proof of identity and residency, plus detailed information about your disability and how it impacts your everyday life, often supported by evidence from a treating professional.
NDIS plans include up to three budget types: Core Supports (everyday help and community participation), Capacity Building Supports (building skills and independence) and Capital Supports (higher-cost items like assistive technology and home modifications), each with their own subcategories.
Depending on your plan and goals, the NDIS can fund things like personal care, therapy services, equipment and assistive technology, home modifications, and community participation activities, among others.
Yes. You can request a plan review when your circumstances change, and plans are reviewed regularly. If your needs shift, talk to your planner or support coordinator about updating your plan so it keeps working for you.
